As of now, I’m too embarrassed to jot down the list of ALL the shows I watch.
Let’s just say I pretty much watch everything on Bravo. Excluding Shahs of Sunset, Million Dollar Listings, and Kathy Griffins.
I LOVE BRAVO. HBO, Showtime, AMC, and FX, too. And the occasional TLC.
I like to think I learn a lot from TV, but I’d learn just as much if I cut my consumption in half. Or thirds.
But when I cook for 8 hours a day, I’m so tired allll I want to do is come home and watch TV.
It’s zone out time.
But at what cost?
Let’s also not mention how many times a day I check my phone and email. 100? At least.
So this month? NO TV.
ONE HOUR OF INTERNET A DAY. On a timer.
More yoga, more meditation, more conscious money practice, more writing.
BUT NO TV, AND RESTRICTED INTERNET.
And no checking my phone every 15 seconds.
This is gonna be almost as tough as the money practice. But to free up time to do what’s truly important, what truly helps a person grow – that’s the goal. To free up time to realize these dreams – that’s the purpose.
It’ll be worth it.
Do you like TV or do you think it’s a waste of time? And are you able to dislodge yourself from the your smartphone or has it become… um, kind of a real problem in your life?
